ABOUT OUR BLOG
For years, I have found roles and jobs that allowed me to serve and be helpful in any way possible. I tried bar-tending, Adoption Advocacy even Human Trafficking Prevention/Counseling but none of those roles filled the void or curiosity to travel the world that I had. I knew there was more for me out there and once I realized Uganda was calling my name, we began the process of packing up our life in the States and moving on to eternal tank top and short weather working with Develop Sustainability.
I started writing about my passions, my thoughts, and curiosities of our society. I founded Essentially Uganda with a mission to give others a taste of what goes on in my mind and our lives while also seeing through the lens of my camera.
We started the shop to help create a more sustainable future for us using essential oils, locally sourced items and hard work. We hope you find the same excitement for this lifestyle as we have. Come join us in the Mukono District and see what it is all about.

“The beauty of a woman is not in the clothes she wears, the figure that she carries, or the way she combs her hair. The beauty of a woman is seen in her eyes, because that is the doorway to her heart, the place where love resides. True beauty in a woman is reflected in her soul. It's the caring that she lovingly gives, the passion that she shows & the beauty of a woman only grows with passing years.”
